About the event

Welcome to the Queen Mother Mangnye's Adventures in Africa: A Journey Home Sunday Dinner! This event will feature an exclusive documentary screening with a discussion from adventurers. The afternoon will also include traditional cuisine, African drumming, and a silent auction as we are immersed in Mangnye's journey throughout Ghana and Egypt! Vivian Washington Filer was enstooled in 2023 as Queen Mother and given the royal title Mangnye Naa Amiami Osuowaa Okropong I, meaning "Mother Who Loves and Protects All of Her Children." In 2024, Mangnye traveled to several regions in Africa. In Ghana, she was honored with the venerable position of Elder at a Ga ceremony by the Royal House of La, Ghana, West Africa.

General Admission starting at $50
