Join us at the Santa Fe College Charles L. Blount Center for a day of free workshops and presentations to increase access and expand opportunities for small farms, farmers markets, gardens and community education in Florida.

Key Note Speaker: Dr. Jennifer Taylor, Florida A&M University (FAMU) will present various growing initiatives and sustainable farming resources throughout the State of Florida.

Track 1: Increasing Access to Heritage Foods at Florida Farms and Farmers Markets

This series will provide information on resources and strategies to promote heritage foods and increase access to farms and farmers markets with a multicultural event-planning tool kit, cost-share opportunities for organic certification, accessibility for people with disabilities, and outreach to non-English speakers and groups under-represented in Florida farms and markets.

Track 2: Expanding Market Opportunities with Grantwriting for farms, farmers markets and community gardens

This series of free workshops will provide information on Grantwriting Basics for Beginners, Writing USDA Grants for Farms and Farmers Markets, and Managing Grants.

Track 3: Expanding Opportunities for Heritage Foods Businesses

This series of free workshops will present resources and strategies to expand market opportunities with information on accepting EBT at the farm or farmers market, engaging in the bidding process to supply state institutions such as schools and prisons, and acquiring agricultural classification for new farm operations.

Track Four: Heritage Foods Education

This series of free workshops and presentations will provide information on resources for small farm and school garden management, grassroot community initiatives, permaculture education and more.
